There is a diary story for every creation I signed. As a painter I find it wonderful to express the events of my life and the social reality of my time. My diversity in creation reflects the state and the pure reality that we have been through.I will reveal to my audience four of the papers in the Păun catalogue: “Self-portrait” – a work that appears both on the front and back of the catalogue and within it, “The Soldier”, “25 years”, and the work “Le Puy newspaper vendor”. I do this in order not to die like all the great misunderstood painters. The composition in “Self-portrait” is a landscape transposition of my diversity. One can notice the triple hypostasis.
1. Self-portrait abstract. Indicates that I am often abstract and profound in plastic expression;
2. Through a raster you will see me in profile standing face to face with me. Facing me with me because I looked in the mirror and always remember Who I am;
3. A landscape showing the selective (subjective) character associated with the colors and the variable of their nuances. Just like the spirit I’m composed of. I am not a prophet, but when I create inspiration exclusively talks through me. With the composition “The Soldier” (Catalogue Paun page17 ) (made in 2003 and sustained in my first personal exhibition) I illustrated the invasion of Iraq, which finally led to the end of Saddam Hussein’s epoch. In 14 papers, I have inserted important details around the concept of the Soldier, and gave the world an advance to what was going to happen. Notice Saddam Hussein’s head hanging on the tray! Saddam was hung in 2006. I indicated this detail in 2003. The “25 Years” (page 27) composition displays 4 numbers, and their presence is a status and a symbol with more abstract details. Numerology is a concern of any Scorpio – a sign that governs me. The presence of numbers 2, 4, 5, 6, as well as their mathematical combination, indicate the day, month and year of my birth, but, surprisingly, details that will not be revealed. You can still see segments that make up my time. Chromatic elements reflect my season – autumn. Also, “25 years” was the head of the poster for the second personal exhibition (in 2004, at “Mihai Eminescu” Cultural Center, Bucharest). Every man has a period and periods. Here’s a quick, real story of a #Linism – “Le Puy newspaper vendor” (page 78). I arrived in France in 2003, and my uncle (who was settled there) showed me how to earn some money, that is selling newspapers on the street. I was the seller. Nothing shameful. But who does not sell one’s human resource? We’re all sellers.
